Appointments went well!

Our first governmental appointment was yesterday, with the SDA.  It went well and as expected.  Today we picked up our Referral Letter from the same office.  This means we are approved by the government to see Zhenya.  So, we leave first thing tomorrow morning for the orphanage.  We are hoping for a bit of sleep tonight :)

Last night, we met up with Bob and Dima Daley for dinner.  Dima is from the same orphanage as Zhenya and is expected to go to his new home in SC later this week!  The transformation Dima has had since we last saw him in early January is amazing! He is speaking English very well now, engaging in conversations, asking questions, etc.

Bob gave us some really good information about Kyiv, including places to go and transportation. We now know some landmarks to look for as we travel about on public transportation.

We finally had the pleasure of meeting Becky tonight!  She is originally from Mississippi and is now a missionary and school teacher in Ukraine.  She volunteers lots of her time at the orphanage and knows the kids really well.  She has traveled on this journey with us since December and has been an amazing source of information, encouragement and advice.  We had a great dinner with Becky, Nadia (Becky's roommate) and the Storms family, who are also adopting from the same orphanage.

We appreciate your prayers for tomorrow as we see Zhenya again and as we meet with the director.
